Iqbal Day seminar organized in Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan College of Science and Technology, Bahria Town, Islamabad
A seminar on occasion of Iqbal day was organized in Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan College of Science and Technology, Bahria Town, Islamabad on Allama Iqbal and New Generation on November 17, 2022. The seminar was presided over by Brigadier Dr. Muhammad Hanif, principal of the college. The chief guest was Dr. Tahir Hameed Tanoli from Iqbal Academy Pakistan. After the recitation from the Holy Quran, Naat Rasool Maqbool (peace be upon him) and the Kalam e Iqbal, the welcome address was given. In his speech, Dr. Tahir Hameed Tanoli highlighted the importance of Allama Iqbal's thought in our national history, the effectiveness of his thoughts and the role of Allama Iqbal in the establishment of Pakistan. He explained this point in the light of Allama Iqbal's thoughts, how Allama Iqbal wanted to see the youth. He told the youth in the light of Allama Iqbal's poetry and prose writings that Allama Iqbal wants to see the Muslim youth with such exemplary character that they are committed to high moral values, have knowledge and practice and are creators of knowledge. He said that unless a society is creative and works only on imitation, it can never be on the path of development. Such a nation cannot find any place of honor in the world. After the speech, he answered the questions of the students and teachers for an hour. The seminar was attended by Nighat Yasmin Vice Principal Senior Section, Afshin Khurram Vice Principal Junior Section, Head teachers of all departments and members of the Executive Board of the college.
