Lecture on Allama Muhammad Iqbal and American Poet Walt Whitman in Iqbal Academy Pakistan
Iqbal Academy Pakistan Organized a lecture titled “The Comparative Study of the Mystical Self in Allama Muhammad Iqbal and American Poet Walt Whitman: A Voyage of Self Discovery” by the Guest Speaker Ms.Naghmana Kausar on 25 November 2022. This lecture basically outlines the comparative study of the Mystical self in the poetry of Walt Whitman-An American poet of 19th Century and Allama Iqbal.
Both these poets have talked about the concept of the self in their poetry and both offer their readers to take a voyage of self discovery through the realization and the assertion of the self rather than negation.
