Obituary - Muhammad Noman Waheed Bokhari

Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilayhi Raji'un

Muhammad Noman Waheed Bokhari (May 10, 1981 - July 23, 2022) was an undeniable asset in the Circles of Iqbal and his philosophical studies. Having accomplished his early schooling in Lahore, Pakistan, he finally migrated to Canada, where in 2009, he founded Dr. Iqbal Society of North America (DISNA) to promote Allama Iqbal’s revolutionary vision and his global philosophy in every nook and corner of the world. By far, he volunteered his life for this cause and was recognised as such. Very soon, DISNA was uplifted to International Iqbal Society (IIS) with chapters in Pakistan, Kuwait, United Kingdom and Malaysia, besides it's leading proxy in Canada.

As a management professional, late Noman Bukhari, actively used IT as a tool to disseminate the universal message of Allama Iqbal in the entire globe. He not only organized lectures and events in a number of countries on all forums, but also, he developed qn integrated website, an android application and a distinct YouTube Channel for this purpose.

He established links and liaisons with the Iqbal Scholars and volunteers, who raise the flag of Iqbal Studies to the skies. As per Allama Iqbal’s verse:

In the world, the people of faith live like the sun

It famously depicts the life of late Noman Bukhari (RA). He was diagnosed with Cancer and suffered a while from the dangerous disease. He, unfortunately, breathed his last sigh in Canada today (23rd July) ending an era full of accomplishments.

His sad demise in a young age is ofcourse a great loss for Iqbal Study Circles in the whole world.

Prof. Dr. Baseera Ambreen, Director, Iqbal Academy Pakistan and the entire team of the Iqbal Academy feel deep sense of pain, grief and sorrow on the death of Muhammad Noman Waheed Bokhari. May Allah Almighty grant him high ranks in the heavens and may his mission live long.
